Hank has been in the professional coffee industry for over seven years now, which has turned him into a little bit of a coffee connoisseur. While on a weekend getaway trip up to the Allegheny National Forest with his wife and family, he attended a Sasquatch Festival. While walking around the festival to all the different booths, he noticed a Sasquatch Coffee stand. After picking up a bag and spending some time talking with the owner he found out that the owner roasted all the coffee himself. Sitting around the campfire that night he couldn't help but feel like he wanted to try his hand at roasting his own coffee. With a lot of support and encouragement of the idea from his wife Leah, he ordered a bag of green coffee beans and a roaster before he even got home from the trip! That was in the Summer of 2022 and after 6 months of trial and error and making his family try all the coffee he roasted (the good and the bad) by the holiday season of 2022 he had what he felt was a product that was ready to be sold to the public. In January of 2023 he officially launched Columbiana Coffee Company and has only become more passionate about good coffee since then.
